About

Hi, I’m Susana, a Spanish teacher from Colombia. I have more than 15 years of experience teaching languages, and in recent years, I have focused on teaching Spanish, my native language. Teaching is my passion, and I feel truly grateful to have the opportunity to guide my students from their first steps in Spanish to fluency. Seeing their progress and helping them gain the confidence they need to communicate effectively in Spanish is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. In my lessons, I like to work on different language skills We usually begin with a short conversation to warm up and activate your Spanish. Then, depending on your level and goals, we may work with a reading, a video, a listening activity, or a grammar topic explored through meaningful and contextualized activities. My main goal is to create lessons that are structured and effective, but also communicative, engaging, and adapted to your personal needs, so that you can develop your Spanish and use it with greater confidence in real-life situations.

Teaching Style

My classes are generally structured around the communicative method, and I also value and employ the task-based approach and the notional-functional method, which I consider the most beneficial for students when applying their knowledge to real-life situations.
