About
Hello! I’m Raysha, a licensed multilingual educator originally from Puerto Rico and currently based in Utah. Spanish is my native language, I am fluent in English, and I hold a DALF C1 diploma in French. I have taught Spanish and French in Dual Language Immersion programs and have experience working with both children and adult language learners. I hold a master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and am currently pursuing a PhD in Humanities and Digital Society. My academic experience also includes research at Sorbonne University in Paris. I enjoy helping learners communicate with confidence, understand how language works, and connect language learning with culture and real-life situations. I create a welcoming environment where students feel comfortable speaking, asking questions, and making progress.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is structured, supportive, and highly interactive. I adapt each lesson to the learner’s level, needs, and goals, using conversation, visuals, authentic materials, guided practice, and clear explanations. Students can expect practical lessons with meaningful speaking opportunities, targeted vocabulary and grammar, constructive feedback, and activities that build confidence. I use proficiency-based strategies and provide appropriate support so that learners can communicate successfully while continuing to challenge themselves.
