About
Hi! I am Ally. I'm an English-Spanish translator and language teacher from Wisconsin. I earned my degree in Spanish, Education, and Teaching English (TESOL) from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. I've taught for 8+ years, teaching languages to students around the world, including as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in South Africa. As someone who learned Spanish as a second language myself, I completely understand the struggles and benefits of learning a language. I have great strategies to build your confidence and help you overcome language learning anxiety. Outside of work, I love to travel, play with my puppy, run, and spend time with friends.
Teaching Style
My classes are relaxed and encouraging, and mistakes are part of learning (and highly encouraged!). I focus on getting you speaking as much as possible, with clear explanations and practical feedback. I'm especially good at helping nervous learners build confidence.
